Our overall innovation philosophy is based on non-traditional, yet pragmatic, perspectives. This highly successful approach was developed over more than two decades, working with nearly 100 organizations, many of which are Fortune 500 companies. Our streamlined, action-based program is designed to put your organization in a state of perpetual innovation necessary for creating sustainable business (and personal) success.
Our blueprint for creating a truly flexible organization is segmented into three complementary areas:
- Innovation – strategy, measures, processes, technologies, organizations, and leadership skills necessary for creating a pervasive culture of innovation
- Creativity — indispensable tools, techniques, and mindset for generating breakthrough solutions on a continual basis
- Goals & Performance — counter-intuitive approaches for improving overall business performance with less effort

Our Business Innovation Philosophy
Although innovation is the lifeblood of your organization, too often it is not allowed to flow freely through the various veins of your company. If you want to survive and thrive, you must regard innovation with the same respect and value you apply to any other facet of your business.
Innovation is more than new ideas. It is about adaptability. It is about helping your organization continuously evolve to meet customer and market needs in this age of rapid change.
When the pace of change outside of your organization is faster than the pace of change within, you will be out of business.
Constant change is the prerequisite for survival.
This requires moving innovation out of the recesses of unenlightened boardrooms and into the reality of today’s competitive marketplace. It is about instilling a mindset of pervasive innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, turn-on-a-dime flexibility and organic growth at every level of your organization. Our approaches make innovation repeatable, predictable, and the responsibility of each-and-every employee.

Our Creativity Philosophy
Creativity is an integral component of the innovation process. Unfortunately, while 98 percent of 5-year-olds are highly creative, only 2 percent of adults can make that claim. This begs the question, “What happened in those ensuing years to deplete that creativity so radically?” The quick answer is they unwittingly became their own worst enemies, engrossed with creating their own roadblocks as they aged, thus inevitably limiting their potential and stifling their original thinking. And, let us not forget the other culprits–apathy, bad habits, different creativity styles, and society’s demand for expertise.
Expertise is the enemy of creativity.
The more you know about a topic, the more difficult it is to look at it with fresh eyes.
But, all is not lost. We can unlearn bad habits; we can stimulate our brains to eschew the one-size-fits-all concept; we can begin again to look at everything anew and, most significant of all, embrace change. As you unlearn, you can relearn, and we have in our toolkits a number of right and left-brained techniques that can help restore your level of creativity according to your potential and preferred style.
Creativity - a talent we all had when we were young - can be relearned and pooled in a culture of innovation to confront and overcome competitive threats. The combined creative power of all employees pulling in cross-functional teams can provide the spark to produce winning performance in the marketplace.

Our Goals & Performance Philosophy
We live in a goal-obsessed society, brainwashed into believing that diligent focus on targets and objectives will give us what we want; but what if, paradoxically, this goal-driven conviction is reducing your effectiveness? We call this phenomenon “The Performance Paradox.”
The harder you try to reach your goals, the less likely you are to achieve them.
We have discovered that a myopic concentration on goals focuses you (and your employees) on the future rather than the present. Too often, good opportunities there for the taking are missed or ignored. As a result, individual and organizational performances decrease, and in the process, morale drops and stress increases.
The same is true in your personal life. Loosening the stranglehold of goals can breathe new life into your creativity, fuel your passion, and help you achieve greater success.
