Speaking in Copenhagen
I am excited to announce that I will return to Copenhagen to speak at my 3rd “Happiness at Work” conference. Previously, I played Personality Poker with the entire audience. This year, I will be speaking about my new book project. Here’s a brief description…
Are you working your butt off and not really getting anywhere? Do you see other people seemingly cruise effortlessly, with much better results? And don’t you just HATE those people (and secretly want to be them)?
We’ve all learned that success requires sacrifice and suffering. No pain no gain. We’ve been told that the more you sacrifice and the harder you work, the more success you will achieve. We’ve learned that success requires planning, relentless ambition, and structure. You’ll get nowhere without goals.
Guess what, we’ve been fooled. We’ve been told a lie.
Contrary to conventional wisdom, success is not linear. An hour of effort does not necessarily yield an hour of result. If you do the “right” work, an hour of effort can yield the equivalent of 100 hours of result.
Stephen Shapiro will show you how to apply the principle of leverage in your work life, including…
- Why you should not blindly replicate what you think made others successful
- How to get exponential results with minimal effort
- A better alternative to goal-setting that will unlock your full potential
- Why you should ignore all advice (up to and including this)
I hope to see many of you in Copenhagen on May 30, 2013. For more details, visit the event website.
